Lunch with Eli
I love brunches with Eli. He’s super cool!
He fixes up motorcycles and builds campers!
We decided to hit up Patty Chen’s Dumpling House, since it was their opening day.
The dumplings were delicious but the wait was too long. Maybe because it was their grand opening, but the wait staff seemed super disorganized and messed up our order. Bummer.
Luckily, it was dumpling festival day!
We roamed the streets for super tasty $1 roadside dumplings.
Nom nom nom.

Candy man
Do you know the candy man? The candy man, the candy man.
Apparently he’s one of my friends.
A friend brought me some candy. Super happy 😀

I Dug You Up From The Crevices of My Heart
You are not forgotten, olde friend. Happy Valentines.
Life Alive
Neon rainbow colors.
That was what greeted me at the landing website of Life Alive.
One of my friends was visiting from out of town, and I decided to scope out the menu before our meetup dinner.
Holy smokes. I presumed my friend turned into a hippie, because of the attitude of the Life Alive website. It was all about love, nuture, energy, and soul.
At the day of the gathering, I braced myself, and ordered a bowl of The Alchemist. I was initially a little hesitant about the atmosphere, but the name Alchemist changed everything. THE ALCHEMIST! WHAT AN AWESOME NAME!!! The food turned out to be a delicious bowl of veggies and sprouts, perhaps, I dare say, the best vegetarian food I’ve ever tasted.
I caught up with my friend, who just returned from an artist convent in France. #SUPER JEALOUS.
It’s always awesome when friends visit. I learn new things and try new places. Happiness all around.
I got a Yeti for Christmas!
My awesome friend Ewu drew me a weight-liftin’ Yeti for Christmas!!!
It totally made my night
He has such a rich imagination. I luv it.
I drew him a dude reindeer. Hope he liked it.

“Friends come and go. All you can do is love them for the brief period they’re with you.”
That was one philosophy I ardently subscribed to. Growing up migrating from place to place, I felt the brunt of losing friends. Time always swept away the best of buds one right after another.
It wasn’t until I was much older that I discovered “keepers”. These best-friend-forever peoples stuck by me through thick and thin. It was the first time I could see the same folks being in my life eons from now.
I had dinner with a “keeper” friend today, one I’ve not spoken to for a long time. We were once the movie-esque partners-in-crime, able to telepathically peer into each others’ minds. However, the sailin’ hadn’t smooth. We had fights, falling outs, and all sorts of #drama.
Tonight’s dinner went well. We reminisced about the past, caught up to the present, and plotted the future to come. I’m really glad of our colorful histories, and hope we can be chum for many years to come.
