Sean, Hyunjin, and I went to the market today and I got some sweet bananas.
These are just little compared to regular bananas.
Sean says they taste much better, but I don’t think they’re any different.

They have jam jar and paneer pizza here!
Jar jam is one of the few wines I like and the paneer pizza rivals Tasty Subs and Pizza in California.
I feel so at home!
I got ugali and sukuma wiki flavored instant noodles!
It’s not as good as the real sukuma wiki I’ve been having but I’m still delighted!
It’s a novelty product right in my wheelhouse.
Harry and I attempted the vegetable wellington recipe from Serious Eats.
Here’s the result:
Pretty good!
My local grocery store had Yowies! I thought they were only available in Australia.
Turns out they’re making a reappearance in the US. Neat!
While there’s a ton of resources on what meals airlines serve, there’s relatively little information on their vegetarian options.
So, when I flew from San Francisco to Copenhagen on SAS, I decided to take photos of the food.

Everything was delicious except for the cucumber and butter sandwich.
I’ve always wanted to try some truffles.
They’re this mysterious food touted by NY food bloggers.
And now I’ve had some!
The flavor was similar to truffle oil’s but much more subtle and earthier.
I now understand the flavor that truffle oil tries to imitate (truffle oil isn’t made from truffles).
Neat!
Harry and I just moved to a beautiful new apartment and we decided to have friends over for a mid-December Thanksgiving dinner.
We got wonderfully scented flowers from the local farmer’s market.
Harry made lasagna as well as other tasty comfort foods.
It was great having everyone over. We felt very adult.
More dinners to come!
I was in the Newark airport playing on one of their newly installed iPads when all of a sudden I got a message that I won a banana.
Several minutes later, a mysterious lady came to my seat and brought me said banana.
Neat.
Jenny, Ke, Harry and I went for shaved ice treats at Snowdays, a chain in NYC.
We got Yeti Tracks and it was amazing! It had a delicious puree that looked like chocolate but was intensely blueberry.
Hope it comes to the Bay Area soon!
