I visited Harry Potter World and it was magical!
I ran into Erek and his team there, and we all rode the Forbidden Journey ride together.
The ride’s video technology created a realistic flying experience. It was really neat!
I tried some butter beer. It tasted like a butterscotch root beer float. I’m not sure how I feel about it.
The night ended with awesome songs from the frog choir. All the singers were great!
I’d been attending a lot of Ricky and Morty events recently.
When the Rickmobile stopped in San Jose, I got up real early to check it out.
There was a massive line to buy merchandise, but luckly no line to take photos. I was surprised by the turnout.
One local bar also hosted a Rick and Morty viewing party for the season premier.
They had show inspired drinks and McNuggets with Mulan sauce.
I don’t know if the sauce was the real deal, but it was incredibly popular among the guests. I only got to sample the dregs but it tasted like General Tso’s. I wasn’t impressed.
All these Rick and Morty themed events were fun. I’d definitely go to more, if they happen.
I went to a Giants game.
I’d never liked baseball very much, but this outing was actually super fun.
The stadium had delightful Americana foods like hot dogs, fries, and bubble tea.
The game was excitingly close. The Giants were down until Posey stepped up to hit a home run. The crowd went wild.
It was a charming summer event.
Harry and I went to a theme park recently, where we played tons of carnival games.
We had a lot of fun at this one particular game where we competed against other players by rolling balls into holes with higher point values.
Harry got really good at the game and ended up winning a fidget spinner.
Now he fidgets all the time. 😛
A while ago, I took some virtual flight lessons. It was really neat learning how to pilot a Cessna.
We even learned how to recover from airplane stalls.
Even though it was pure simulation, I was freakin’ out.
It was fun.
Jenny is a citizen scientist. Right now she’s more citizen than scientist, but she still has big dreams.
A while ago, Andy introduced us to Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire, a mobile game. Here’s my taxi license if I was a driver.
I love the game’s AMAZING characters. I mean, look at this:
Y’all should play.
I got to see the real Utah teapot!
A couple of weeks ago we went to the Computer History Museum.
While the museum had tons of really neat exhibits like a fully restored IBM 1401, the highlight for me was seeing the original Utah teapot.
It was a complete surprise to stumble upon the teapot.
