I got to see the real Utah teapot!
A couple of weeks ago we went to the Computer History Museum.
While the museum had tons of really neat exhibits like a fully restored IBM 1401, the highlight for me was seeing the original Utah teapot.
It was a complete surprise to stumble upon the teapot.
Here’s a fanart of Anna from the new Fire Emblem iOS game.
I haven’t really drawn fanart like this since a time in my youth, when I was obsessed with Nintendo.
This doodle was inspired by a need to do something more productive/theraputic than iOS games.
Perhaps there’ll be more.
I came in second at a Friday Night Magic event recently.
We were drafting the new Conspiracy set, and I created a neat Black/White deck that revolved around being the Monarch.
Queen Marchesa’s minions really helped me out in some tight situations.
This was the most fun set I’ve played with since Magic Origins. I hope there’s more Conspiracy sets in the future.
Next leg of the trip, we stopped by COSI Science Center.
Some of the highlights were:
- Riding on a highwire unicycle.
- Solving puzzles in the Indiana-Jones-esque Adventure exhibit
It was a lot of fun!
Harry went on his first airboat ride last weekend. He loved it!
Playing Pokemon Go on the subway feels like Pokemon Snap.
I ran my first 5K this weekend!
It was surprisingly a lot of fun.
Running with other people is soo much better than running along, and totally motivates you to run faster.
I finished around 30 minutes and feel pretty great.
