Scuba Certified

I got my PADI open water certification this weekend. Now I’m licensed to scuba down to 60 ft!

I did my open water dives in the Aurora Reservoir, a cold and dark body of water. Descending into the abyss was terrifying.

Eventually, I subdued my lizard brain and everything became very Bioshock.

If you’re ever in the Boulder area and are thinking of learning to scuba, I’d highly recommend Flatirons Scuba. The instructors and divemasters were super patient when I was too scared to descend. At the end of the class, since I’m a very beginner swimmer, they did an extra dive with me to help me practice kicking underwater. They’re amazing!
